No Vehicles Allowed Within 100 Meter Periphery of the Office of Returning Officer (Dy. Commissioner Office South Andaman) from 20th to 27th March 2024

The Election Commission of India has officially announced the General Election 2024 for the Parliamentary Constituency of A & N Islands, scheduled to be held in the first phase on April 19, 2024. In a notification issued by the Commission, it has been declared that the filing of nominations will commence from March 20, 2024, and continue until March 27, 2024, at the Office of the Returning Officer situated at the A & N Parliamentary Constituency (Dy. Commissioner Office South Andaman).

In accordance with the directives of the Election Commission, stringent measures have been put in place to ensure a fair and transparent nomination process. Notably, during the nomination filing period, no vehicles will be permitted within a 100-meter periphery of the Office of the Returning Officer. To enforce this regulation, authorities will erect barricades to restrict vehicular access to the office premises until the conclusion of the nomination period.

The general public is hereby informed about the vehicular restrictions in place from March 20 to March 27, 2024. Vehicles approaching the Office of the Returning Officer are advised to park at the PMBC parking area located in front of the IP&T Department, as they will not be allowed within the designated perimeter around the Office of the Returning Officer during the specified period.
