Nicobar District Police has launched ‘Udaan’, free coaching classes to prepare Youth for Recruitment Exams. The initiative was launched on 17th April 2023, across Car Nicobar, Nancowry and Campbell Bay simultaneously.
More than 200 aspirants have registered for the free coaching classes launched by the police.
Coaching to the aspirants would be provided through live and offline video classes. Free study materials will also be provided to the aspirants and mock tests will be conducted.
Nicobar is one of the remotest districts in the country, and the aspirants from the Nicobar group of Islands have very little resources available for proper preparation for recruitment exams.
The noble initiative of providing free coaching by the Nicobar District Police will go a long way in helping the students of the remote Islands.
The Superintendent of Police (Nicobar District), Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Campbell Bay), SDPO (Car Nicobar) other senior officers of Nicobar District Police, Station House Officers of various Police Stations under Nicobar District and other officials attended the launch function.
The residents of various Islands of Nicobar District have also appreciated the police for the noble initiative and have demanded that the coaching classes should be further expanded to cover the remotest Islands like Chowra, Teressa, Katchal etc.
