North & Middle Andaman District Police Hosts SP-Cup Wind Ball Cricket Tournament 2025

North & Middle Andaman District Police is hosting the SP-Cup Wind Ball Cricket Tournament 2025, which kicked off on January 12, 2025, at the Netaji Stadium in Mayabunder. The tournament is being held in celebration of the upcoming A&N Police Raising Day on January 16, 2025.

The five-day tournament has attracted 16 enthusiastic teams from across the region, all eager to showcase their sporting talent and compete in a series of high-octane matches. The event promises to be a thrilling display of skill and sportsmanship, captivating both players and spectators alike.

Ms. Shweta K. Sugathan, IPS, the Superintendent of Police for North & Middle Andaman District, attended the tournament’s opening and expressed her delight at the initiative. “We are thrilled to successfully launch the SP Cup Wind Ball Cricket Tournament-2025, which has not only provided a fantastic platform for promoting sports but also for strengthening police-public relations,” she said. “The tournament has allowed us to engage with the community, especially the youth, and given them an opportunity to showcase their skills.”
