In a distinctive community outreach initiative, the North & Middle Andaman District Police has rolled out Vacation Classes for schoolchildren at all police stations across the district. This unique program aims to provide a safe, enriching, and engaging environment for young minds during their school holidays.
The initiative features a diverse range of activities, including computer literacy sessions, drawing, dance, yoga, career guidance workshops, and self-defence training. Designed to nurture creativity, discipline, and self-confidence, these classes offer a holistic approach to learning and personal development.
By fostering positive interactions between children and police personnel, the program also seeks to build trust and strengthen the bond between the police force and the community. Children are encouraged to explore new interests, develop essential life skills, and engage in meaningful holiday experiences.
Parents and guardians are invited to enrol their children in this free and inclusive initiative to make the most of the vacation period in a fun and productive manner.
Meanwhile, the general public is urged to share any credible information regarding criminal or illegal activities with their nearest police station or through helpline numbers 100, 112, and 03192-273344. Informers’ identities will be kept confidential and may be eligible for suitable rewards.
