North & Middle Andaman Police Nab Another Poacher Under ‘Operation Coral Shield’

The North & Middle Andaman District Police apprehended another poacher during intensified anti-poaching action under Operation Coral Shield. A police team from PS Diglipur carried out sustained tracking and intensive combing through dense jungle areas on December 19, leading to the arrest of one individual from the Coffee Dera region.

The operation included meticulous ground searches and continuous surveillance across vulnerable forest patches as part of efforts to trace and apprehend remaining offenders. The combing effort is being carried out relentlessly and continues to target absconding poachers in the area.

The North & Middle Andaman District Police reiterated their commitment to safeguarding marine and forest biodiversity, preventing illegal trespassing, and strengthening territorial and environmental security across ecologically sensitive zones of the district.

The public has been requested to share any credible information regarding crimes or illegal activities with the nearest police station or through numbers 100, 112 and 03192-273344. The identity of informers will be kept confidential and suitably rewarded.
