NSUI Holds Student Interaction Meeting with National Secretary in Sri Vijaya Puram

The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), Andaman and Nicobar Islands, under the leadership of its State President, Mr. M.A. Sajid, organized an interactive meeting with Mr. Abijith J.B., National Secretary and Incharge of the A&N Islands, on Wednesday at Sri Vijaya Puram. The meeting, held at Gandhi Bhawan, attracted a large number of students from various colleges across the islands who gathered to discuss key issues affecting the student community.

Mr. Abijith J.B., who traveled from Tamil Nadu to attend the event, was warmly welcomed by the attendees. Prominent leaders including PCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, City Congress President Mr. Mohd. Zubair, OBC Chairman Mr. R.K. Raj, Senior Congress Leader Mr. Tejeswar Rao, and Student Leader Ms. Sushmitha, were present at the gathering.

In his address, Mr. Abijith underscored the importance of student engagement in influencing educational policies. “Today’s youth are the future of our nation, and it is essential that their voices are heard. NSUI is committed to ensuring that students are not only aware of their rights but are also empowered to fight for them,” he stated, calling on students to take an active role in shaping their future.

State NSUI President Mr. M.A. Sajid also took the stage, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to advocating for improved educational infrastructure and enhanced facilities on campuses across the A&N Islands. “NSUI is dedicated to championing the rights of students, and we will continue to work tirelessly for their betterment,” he emphasized.

PCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder encouraged the NSUI team to remain steadfast in their efforts to address student concerns. He also assured the organization of full support from the Pradesh Congress Committee. Other senior leaders, including Mr. Mohd. Zubair, Mr. R.K. Raj, and Mr. Tejeswar Rao, echoed similar sentiments, urging the student body to actively engage with the NSUI’s initiatives.

Following the speeches, the meeting transitioned into an open forum where students voiced their concerns and posed questions regarding ongoing NSUI efforts to improve student representation. Mr. Abijith J.B. encouraged participants to become involved in the union’s campaigns, stressing the importance of collective action to create a positive impact on their communities.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks from Student Leader Ms. Sushmitha, who urged students to join hands with the NSUI to bring meaningful change to the educational landscape of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The meeting provided a platform for students to engage with political leaders and discuss the pressing issues facing their academic institutions, further strengthening the NSUI’s role as a key advocate for student rights in the region.
