Oath Ceremony for Four New Recruits Held at Police Training School in Prothrapur

A solemn oath ceremony was held on 19th November 2024 at the Drill Hall of the Police Training School (PTS) in Prothrapur, marking a significant milestone for newly recruited personnel. Ms. Shweta K. Sugathan, IPS, Principal of PTS, administered the oath to two Recruit Police Constables (Drivers) and two Recruit Trainees (Tradesmen), who successfully completed their rigorous basic training.

Mr. M.K. Shukla, DANIPS, Vice Principal of PTS, along with family members of the trainees and officers and staff of PTS, attended the event. 

In her address, Principal Ms. Sugathan congratulated the recruits for their dedication and hard work throughout their training, which included physical, technical, and trade skills development. She emphasised the importance of integrity, discipline, and public service in policing and urged the recruits to serve the community with commitment and sincerity, upholding the values of the Andaman & Nicobar Police.

The ceremony was a proud moment for the trainees’ families, who witnessed their loved ones taking the first step into a noble and challenging profession. The event concluded with informal interactions between the dignitaries, trainees, and their families, fostering camaraderie and encouragement.

The Andaman & Nicobar Police continues to prioritize professional training and skill development, ensuring that its personnel are equipped to meet the evolving challenges of law enforcement.
