Oath-Taking Ceremony Held for 35 Recruit Follower Constables at PTS Prothrapur

The Police Training School (PTS) in Prothrapur witnessed a historic moment today as 35 Recruit Follower Constables from the Andaman & Nicobar Police took their oath in a solemn ceremony, signifying the successful completion of their rigorous training and unwavering commitment to duty.

The ceremony, held on January 29, 2024, was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest Mr. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, who added significance to the occasion with his august presence.

Ms. Monika Bhardwaj, IPS, DIGP (Training), welcomed the Chief Guest and extended her heartfelt congratulations to the trainees for successfully completing the intense three-month Basic Training. Principal of PTS, Mr. Manjeet Sheoran, IPS, administered the oath to the trainees, a pivotal moment witnessed by dignitaries and the proud family members of the newly trained constables.

In his inspiring address, Mr. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, urged the trainees to strive for excellence as they embark on their journey to become dedicated and sincere police personnel for the professional and dedicated A&N Police force.

The batch of 35 Recruit Follower Constables showcased notable achievements, with F/Waterman (D) 82 (Exe.) Arbaaz Hussain securing the All-Round Best (1st Position) and F/Safai Karmchari 116 (Exe.) J. Gopi adjudged as the All-Round Best (2nd Position).

This ceremony not only marks the end of their training but also the beginning of a new chapter for these dedicated individuals. Ready to serve the community, they have pledged to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity as they join the ranks of the Andaman & Nicobar Police. The oath-taking ceremony has set the stage for these constables to make a positive impact and contribute to the safety and well-being of the community they serve.
