On June 25, 2024, officials from the Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T) will be visiting Shaheed Dweep to conduct a comprehensive verification of local snorkel guides’ documents. The purpose of this visit is to scrutinise the credentials of guides who hold valid certifications, including Snorkel Guide Certificates, Life Saving Techniques Certificates, Medical Fitness Certificates, and Aadhaar Cards.
The verification process is a crucial step towards enrolling these guides with the Directorate of IP&T. Following the document verification, the officers will collect the necessary applications and documents for submission to the competent authority for approval.
Local snorkel guides are requested to be present at Hawa Bill Nest, Shaheed Dweep, at 9:30 AM on June 25, with all the required documents.
In addition to the verification process, a familiarisation class on ‘Water Sports Activities’ will be held at the conference hall of Hawa Bill Nest. This session will be conducted by Mr. Aqeeb Azeem, a consultant and expert in water sports activities, providing valuable insights and training to participants.
