One Arrested by PS Aberdeen for Theft of Mobile Phone from G.B Pant Hospital

A man was arrested by the team of Police Station (PS) Aberdeen for stealing a mobile phone from the driver’s room at G.B. Pant Hospital in Sri Vijaya Puram.

On November 12, 2024, an FIR was filed following a written complaint from a driver at the hospital, reporting the theft of his mobile phone by an unidentified individual. The theft occurred in the driver’s room at G.B. Pant Hospital.

Following the registration of the FIR, a dedicated team from PS Aberdeen, led by Inspector Vishal Ram, SHO PS Aberdeen, worked relentlessly to identify the thief and recover the stolen phone. The team, comprising Sub-Inspector Samiran Mridha, Head Constable Jiju, Constables Jayraj, Mohd Rafique, Surender Singh Yadav, and K. Jagdish Babu, analyzed numerous CCTV footage to track down the suspect, which led to the successful arrest and recovery of the stolen mobile phone.

The investigation was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Anushtha Kalia, IPS, SDPO South Andaman, and overall supervision of Ms. Niharika Bhatt, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
