Online Nominations Invited for National Teachers’ Award – 2024

Online self-nominations have been invited from teachers across the nation for the prestigious National Teachers’ Award-2024. The awards will be presented on September 5, 2024, on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.

National Teachers’ Award aims to celebrate the unique contributions of exceptional teachers who have significantly improved the quality of school education and enriched the lives of their students. This initiative seeks to elevate the status of teachers and publicly recognise their outstanding services in Primary, Middle, and Higher Secondary Schools.

Eligibility and Guidelines:

1. Eligible Candidates:

   – School teachers and Heads of Schools working in recognised Primary, Middle, High, and Higher Secondary Schools managed by State Governments, UT Administrations, and local bodies.

   – Teachers from private schools affiliated with State Governments or UT Boards.

   – Educators in Central Government schools, schools run by the Ministry of Defence, Atomic Energy Education Society (AEES), Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, and schools affiliated with CBSE or CISCE.

2. Service Requirement:

   – Only regular teachers and Heads of Schools with a minimum of 10 years of service are eligible for nomination.

Application Process:

Teachers who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply for online self-nomination. The registration for self-nomination is open from June 27, 2024, and will close on July 15, 2024. Interested candidates can submit their nominations through the official web portal: https://nationalawardstoteachers.education.gov.in.

National Teachers’ Award 2024 is an opportunity to acknowledge and honour the dedication and hard work of teachers who play a crucial role in shaping the future of the nation.
