Football fever is set to grip Wimberlygunj as the Gram Panchayat Wimberlygunj, in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and the Organization for South and South East Asia Development (OFSSEAD), gears up to host the Open Champion’s Trophy Men’s Day & Night Football Tournament 2025 on September 14 at the Mini Stadium, Wimberlygunj.
The much-anticipated event will feature action-packed matches under floodlights, showcasing top football talent from across the islands. Winners of the tournament will be awarded attractive trophies along with cash prizes. The entry fee has been fixed at ₹7,000 per team.
The draw of fixtures will be conducted on September 10 at 4:00 PM at the Gram Panchayat Office, Wimberlygunj. All registered teams are required to be present for the draw.
Sports enthusiasts and local football fans are expected to turn out in large numbers to cheer for their favourite teams and experience the electrifying atmosphere of day-and-night matches.
