Orientation Programme on ICT for Children with Special Needs Held at CRC Kapanga

An orientation programme introducing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) was held at the CRC Kapanga, Katchal. Organized on October 8, the event aimed at highlighting the significance of ICT in enhancing learning experiences for CwSN students. 

The programme was spearheaded by Mr. Ilamaran, Special Educator and Programme Coordinator, with support from Ms. Binota Das, BRP, CwSN, and Ms. Jayapriya, PSRT from the BPO, Nancowrie. Mr. Haripada Mondal, Vice Principal of Kapanga, Katchal, chaired the event.

A key part of the programme was a distribution camp where aids and appliances were provided to four CwSN students to assist them in their learning journey. In addition to CwSN students, the event saw active participation from staff members, including Ms. Freeda Salona, Cluster Incharge (CI), as well as students from classes VI to VIII.

The orientation emphasized the transformative role ICT can play in supporting the educational needs of children with disabilities, encouraging a more inclusive learning environment.
