Great Nicobar is witnessing an outbreak of fever cases among children. The sudden outbreak has worried the residents. The local doctors are doing their best, but many residents demanded a specialist doctor to treat the cases of fever among the children.
The remoteness of Great Nicobar and the non-availability of advanced medical care is also a cause of concern for parents in Great Nicobar.
Mr. E S Rajesh, Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Campbell Bay spoke to the Director of Health, Andaman and Nicobar Administration and requested her to depute a Paediatrician to Great Nicobar to treat the fever cases among children in Great Nicobar.
The Director immediately deputed Dr. Kumar Gaurav, SMO/MD(Paediatrics) on a two-day duty-cum-tour to PHC Campbell Bay. Dr Kumar Gaurav will reach Campbell Bay on 29th August 2022.
Mr. E S Rajesh has thanked the Director of Health for immediately deputing a Paediatrician to Great Nicobar for treating the fever cases among the children.
