Pahargaon Police Solves Gold Jewellery Theft Case, Two Arrested

Pahargaon Police have successfully cracked a gold jewellery theft case, arresting two individuals and recovering stolen ornaments worth over ₹1.5 lakh.

On February 4, 2025, a complaint was lodged at Pahargaon Police Station regarding the theft of gold ornaments from a residence in Mahaveer Nagar. Acting swiftly, a dedicated police team, led by Inspector Mohd Elias, SHO, PS Pahargaon, and comprising PSI Animesh Ram (Investigating Officer), HC Limbu, PC Rahul Kumar Maurya, and PC(D) Nuka Raju, was formed to investigate the matter.

Through a meticulous examination of CCTV footage and local intelligence gathering, the team identified and apprehended Sajahan Sekh (37), a private worker originally from Hatpukuria, Bhaleya, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, currently residing near Barood Godown, Firing Range, Birdline. Upon his arrest, a portion of the stolen jewellery was recovered from his possession. During interrogation, Sajahan Sekh revealed that he had purchased part of the stolen jewellery from Zakir Hossain (27), a private worker residing near Andaman Tour For You, Mahaveer Nagar. Further investigation led to the arrest of Zakir Hossain, and the remaining stolen gold ornaments were recovered from him.
