Mr. Paritosh Halder, Ex-Member of A & N Pradesh Council and Mr. Abdul Siddique, Ex-Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Mayabunder recently met Ms. Anjali Sehrawat (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman District and took up local issues related to Mayabunder for redressal.
The leaders demanded that all facilities should be made available at Dr. R.P Hospital, Mayabunder. The further informed the Deputy Commissioner of the non-availability of Gynaecologist, Medical Specialist, Anaesthetist, General Surgeon, E & T Specialist, Orthopaedic surgeon at Dr. R.P Hospital Mayabunder. The leaders also demanded that ICU facility should be introduced at Dr. R.P Hospital, Mayabunder.
The leaders further demanded that the services of M.V Bharat Seema should be withdrawn from Mayabunder Sector and ships like M.V Coral Queen should be deployed for Mayabunder twice a week.
The demand for the repair of Neemtala Road, Pokadera was also raised.
Mr. Paritosh Halder and Mr. Abdul Siddique also demanded that all recruitment exams should be conducted at Mayabunder. They further requested the introduction of Science Stream at GSSS, Pahalgaon. They demanded that science stream graduation courses should also be introduced at Mahatma Gandhi Govt. College, Mayabunder.
They requested the Deputy Commissioner to give necessary direction to CCS to supply LPG Cylinders regularly to the residents of Mayabunder and further raised the demand of construction of a LPG Godown by CCS at Mayabunder for which land has already been allotted.
