The online Electricity Bill Payment System of the Electricity Department of Andaman and Nicobar Administration ‘Urja Pay’ developed some technical snags and the department through its Twitter handle informed that the service has been suspended temporarily.
The department informed that the issue is being rectified and the service shall revert to normalcy soon.
The website itself seems to be working fine and even the bills are displayed normally on the portal, but the issue seems to be with the payment gateway integrated with the portal.
Urja Pay has become the preferred mode of Electricity Bill payment for many. Electricity Department should start a dedicated Urja Pay Helpline to immediately sort out the issues arising while making Electricity Bill Payments through Urja Pay.
At present only an Email ID is listed on the Urja Pay website and customers are advised to contact their concerned site office in case of any issues.
