Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi has adopted Shaheed Dweep under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign and is making available National Flags to all households of the Island.
‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
Mr. Mandeep Gerewal, President, PBGKR said, ‘We are very proud to be associated with this campaign and will not leave any stone unturned to make it a grand success.’
Mrs. Pinky Das, Pradhan, GP Neil Kendra along with Up-Pradhan and other PRI Members distributed the flags sponsored by PBGKR to the residents of Shaheed Dweep.
Under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign the Central Govt. has set a target of voluntary installation of National Fag in 250 Million Households across India.
Mr. Narendra Modi Prime Minister of India has been encouraging citizens to display or hoist National Flag at their homes between 13th and 15th August 2022.
