Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) has unveiled a new user-friendly billing system featuring QR codes, designed to streamline the payment process for Water Charges, Conservancy Fees, and Property Taxes. This innovative approach aims to make bill payments more convenient and efficient for residents.

Starting this month, PBMC employees will distribute bills directly to homes across all wards, from Ward No. 01 to Ward No. 24. The new bills will include QR codes that residents can scan using their smartphones to make instant payments.

PBMC has urged residents to promptly settle their dues for the current financial year (2024-2025) as well as any outstanding dues from previous years. Timely payments will ensure uninterrupted services and continued support for community infrastructure.

Residents who have already cleared their dues can disregard the new bills. For any issues or discrepancies, individuals can contact the Revenue Officer or Assistant Manager (IT) at PBMC by calling 03192-245996 for prompt assistance.

The successful implementation of this enhanced billing system relies heavily on the cooperation of the general public. PBMC appreciates the community’s prompt compliance and support in this initiative, which will help maintain and improve municipal services.

For more information, residents are encouraged to reach out to the designated PBMC contact points to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
