Port Blair, 11 August 2024

Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) is calling upon organisations, institutions, and residents across the city to actively participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign by proudly hoisting the National Flag at their respective premises. This initiative, launched as part of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, aims to foster a deep sense of patriotism and unity among the people of Port Blair.

As part of the campaign, the PBMC has planned a series of activities that will be held throughout the city. One of the highlights includes the creation of vibrant wall paintings at key locations, which are intended to not only beautify the city but also serve as powerful tributes to India’s rich heritage. These artistic expressions will reflect the core values of freedom and democracy that define our nation.

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign goes beyond the symbolic act of hoisting the National Flag. It is a clarion call for every citizen to actively engage in the celebration of India’s independence. By displaying the tricolor, citizens will honour the sacrifices made by the country’s freedom fighters and reaffirm their commitment to the ideals that unite India as a nation.

PBMC is urging all citizens of Port Blair to embrace this campaign by proudly flying the National Flag at their homes, schools, and workplaces. The council envisions creating a wave of tricolor across the city, symbolizing the collective pride and patriotism of its residents. By coming together for this cause, the PBMC believes that the people of Port Blair can set an inspiring example for future generations to cherish and uphold the ideals of freedom and democracy.
