PBMC supplies drinking water to municipal areas. Due to poor monsoons and excessive heat, there is an acute shortage of water supply from APWD to PBMC.

Rains are not expected anytime soon. Water is a precious natural resource and cannot be wasted. The general public has been advised to use water carefully and avoid water wastage. Overflow of storage tanks should be avoided at all costs. Consumers have been asked to fix leaking pipes and install float valves in water tanks to avoid overflow. Govt. offices, public institutions, commercial establishments and other major water consumers have been asked to take precautionary measures to preserve water.

PBMC is closely monitoring all tap connections and storage facilities. In case of water wastage, strict action such as disconnection of the water tap connection will be taken. PBMC has constituted teams to monitor and keep a vigil on water wastage. PBMC Control Room phone numbers: 03192-231179/03192-245798.
