PC/2612 Nagveni, an outstanding officer serving at PS Hutbay, has received accolades from the Director General of Police (DGP) A&N Islands, Mr. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, for her remarkable performance in the 24th Senior SQAY Martial Art National Championship 2023-24. The championship took place in Kurukshetra, Haryana, from 22nd to 25th June, 2023.
In recognition of her exceptional achievements, PC Nagveni was presented with the prestigious Commendation Certificate Class-I and a cash reward of ₹2500/-. Her accomplishments at the championship have brought great pride and honour to the A&N Police.
During the championship, PC Nagveni showcased her prowess in the Layaatmak SQAY category and secured a Gold Medal, underscoring her dedication and skill in the martial arts discipline. Additionally, she demonstrated her expertise in Yudham and Kaushal, earning two Bronze Medals for her outstanding performance.
Adding to her accolades, PC Nagveni was also awarded a certificate of registration of rank for Black Belt 3rd Degree in SQAY Martial Arts, further highlighting her commitment to the sport and her dedication to excellence.
DGP Mr. Devesh Chandra Srivastva took the opportunity to extend his heartfelt congratulations to PC Nagveni for her exemplary achievements.
Furthermore, the DGP urged all police personnel and their supervisory officers to prioritise their physical fitness and mental well-being. He stressed the importance of promoting various sports disciplines within the A&N Police, enabling officers to participate at regional and national levels and bring pride to the police force and the Islands they serve.
