Petrol is currently out of stock at fuel pumps in Nancowry and Campbell Bay. M.V Chuglam carrying petrol for both the Islands is currently on its voyage via other Islands and it was expected that the ship would take another 4-5 days to deliver petrol at the respective Islands.
Mr. E.S Rajesh, Pramukh, Campbell Bay, Mr. Sanjay Ekka, Up-Pramukh, Campbell Bay & Mr. Venkat Rao, Pradhan (Govind Nagar) today spoke to the Assistant Commissioner, Campbell Bay to arrange for M.V Chuglam to arrive early to deliver fuel.
Due to their efforts, M.V Chuglam is likely to arrive at Nancowry on 9th April and at Campbell Bay on 10th April to deliver the fuel.
Early availability of petrol will bring a lot of relief to the residents of both the Islands as they are currently facing a lot of problems in their daily commute.
