On Parakram Diwas, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi today unveiled the model of the National Memorial dedicated to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose to be built on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island via video conferencing.
The unveiling of the model was followed by a short video showcasing the proposed memorial to be set up at NSCB Island.
The National Memorial dedicated to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose which would be built at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island would feature a Museum-Cum-Interpretation Centre, a Cable Car Rope Way from Port Blair to NSCB Island, a Guided Heritage Trail, a Laser Light and Sound Show, a theme based Amusement Park and Food & Resto Lounge.
The National Memorial to be built at NSCB Island will also help in the development of Tourism in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Mr. Amit Shah, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation attended the programme at DBRAIT Auditorium, Port Blair. The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Anil Chauhan PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM also attended the programme along with other dignitaries.
