The three-day PM Vishwakarma Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair, held at the ITF Ground in Sri Vijaya Puram, concluded on a high note on 17th of January 2025. Organized by the Branch MSME-Development & Facilitation Office, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, in collaboration with the UT Administration of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the event celebrated traditional artisans and craftspeople across 18 trades recognised under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
The final day of the fair was marked by a series of engaging activities, including awareness programs, quizzes, drawing competitions, and cultural events. Dance and singing competitions brought together enthusiastic participation from students and youth, creating an electric atmosphere at the venue. As the evening unfolded, cultural performances captivated the audience, rounding off the event on a festive note.
The primary aim of the exhibition was to provide recognition and marketing support to traditional artisans and craftspeople who continue to preserve the heritage of handcrafting tools and goods. The event showcased the skills of these tradespeople, offering them a platform to display their craftsmanship and connect with potential buyers.
