The three-day PM Vishwakarma Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair, organised by the Branch MSME–Development and Facilitation Office (DFO), Sri Vijaya Puram, concluded on Wednesday at the Multipurpose Hall, Diglipur.
The exhibition-cum-trade fair, held from February 9 to 11, witnessed enthusiastic participation from artisans, self-help groups (SHGs), MSME units and various government departments. The valedictory function marked the culmination of the event, during which participation certificates were distributed to winners and participants of competitions conducted as part of the programme.
Competitions including drawing, quiz, dance and singing were organised for primary, secondary and senior secondary/college students as well as youth. The themes of the competitions revolved around the MSME sector, the PM Vishwakarma Scheme and green energy, aimed at creating awareness among the younger generation about entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
A total of 57 stalls were set up during the fair by PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries, MSMEs, SHGs, artisans and government departments. The stalls showcased a wide range of locally produced goods and traditional crafts, while also disseminating information about various government schemes designed to support and promote small enterprises.
Cultural programmes were held in the evenings to encourage greater public participation and add vibrancy to the event. Winners of the competitions were felicitated with certificates and trophies at the valedictory ceremony.
The exhibition successfully provided marketing support to local artisans and entrepreneurs and strengthened public awareness about the PM Vishwakarma Scheme and other initiatives aimed at boosting the MSME sector.
