PMB Issues Directives for IV Boats to Shift from Aberdeen Jetty to Junglighat Jetty for Tsunami Anniversary Observance

In view of the upcoming Tsunami anniversary observance on December 26, 2024, the Port Management Board has announced specific directives for water sports and ferry services in the region.

As per the notice issued by the Harbour Master, all IV boats operating from the Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex are required to shift from Aberdeen Jetty to Junglighat Jetty by December 25, 2024. The area between Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Dweep and Aberdeen Jetty, off Marina Park, will remain off-limits for anchoring vessels on December 26, 2024. Regular ferry services will resume from Aberdeen Jetty on December 27, 2024.

Additionally, owners of jet skis and other sports vessels have been instructed to park their equipment at designated locations by 5:00 PM on December 25, 2024. No water sports activities will be permitted from Aberdeen Jetty on December 26, 2024.

These measures have been implemented to ensure smooth and respectful observance of the Tsunami anniversary.
