Police Seek Whereabouts of Accused Wanted for Machete Attack on Woman in Garacharma

An intensive search is underway for a man identified as Robin Haldar, accused of a brutal machete attack on a woman in Garacharma, Sri Vijaya Puram. The incident occurred on October 1, 2024, when Haldar allegedly assaulted the woman with an apparent intent to kill before fleeing the scene, leaving her with serious injuries.

According to the police, an FIR No. 150/24 under sections 109 and 118(1) of the BNS Act, 2023, has been registered at the Pahargaon Police Station against the accused, Robin Halder, a 50-year-old resident of Garacharma. Efforts to locate him have intensified as he remains at large.

Haldar is described as approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, of normal build, with sallow complexion, black eyes, and black-and-white hair without baldness. He sports a moustache and is proficient in both Bengali and Hindi. Haldar is also skilled in operating various types of vehicles, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and heavy vehicles.
