In line with its zero-tolerance policy towards crime, the police at Pahargaon have successfully solved a theft case within 24 hours, leading to the apprehension of a minor, classified as a Child in Conflict with Law (CCL).
On November 20, 2024, D. Arockiyam, 31, a resident of Burmanallah, reported the theft of Rs. 10,000 from his café near the vehicle parking area at Bathubasti. The theft occurred on November 19, 2024, around 9:15 PM.
Prompt action was taken as a case was registered at Pahargaon Police Station, and a dedicated team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Mohd Elias, SHO of Pahargaon Police Station. The team, led by Sub-Inspector Sudhir Kumar and supported by Head Constables Ravi Kumar Limbu, PCs Rahul Kumar Maurya, and D Shiv Kumar, began an immediate investigation.
The team reviewed CCTV footage and conducted thorough local intelligence gathering, which led to the identification of the suspect. The accused, a Child in Conflict with Law (CCL), was quickly apprehended.
