In a significant boost to local talent development, three students from the Department of Management Studies at Pondicherry University’s Andaman Campus have been successfully placed in reputed organisations operating in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
SISCO Business Solutions has selected two MBA students — Mr. B. Gokul from Vellore and Ms. V. Nandini, a resident of Haddo, Sri Vijaya Puram — for the role of Finance Associate. In another notable placement, Aditya Birla Life AMC Limited has recruited Ms. M. Shaheen Umar of Attam Pahad, Sri Vijaya Puram, for the position of Sales Associate.
An official appointment order handover ceremony was held on April 29, 2025, in the presence of company representatives, faculty members, and students. Dr. T. Ganesh, Associate Professor and MBA Coordinator, congratulated the selected students and extended his gratitude to the recruiting companies for recognising and encouraging the capabilities of students from the Andaman Islands.
“These placements reflect the growing corporate confidence in our students’ potential and reaffirm our commitment to providing quality management education in the region,” said Dr. Ganesh.
The successful placements are being hailed as a source of motivation for the student body and further reinforce the university’s standing as a centre of excellence in business education in the islands.
