Port Management Board under the A & N Administration is currently reviewing applications for ‘Compassionate Appointments’ from eligible claimants. During the scrutiny process, it was discovered that many applications submitted previously by claimants of deceased government servants, who served in the Port Management Board and Andaman Labour Force, did not follow the prescribed format and lacked essential information and supporting documents.

In light of this, the Port Management Board has issued a notice requesting all eligible claimants seeking compassionate appointments to resubmit their applications in the correct format, along with all required documents. Applications must be addressed to the Assistant Director (Admn), Office of the Port Management Board, Sri Vijaya Puram, and should be submitted within 15 days from the date of publication of this notice.

Claimants can obtain the prescribed application format and additional details from the Port Management Board office during regular working hours, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

The Board has emphasized that the timely submission of complete applications will enable the department to forward the cases for further examination and consideration by the Administration.
