Power Supply to be Suspended in Parts of South Andaman on February 12 and 15

The Electricity Department has announced that power supply will remain suspended in several areas of South Andaman on February 12 (Wednesday) and February 15 (Saturday) from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The outage is necessary to facilitate the replacement of rusted channels of electric poles near Maruti Workshop at Garacharma.

During this period, the Panther-I and Panther-II transmission lines, along with the Garacharma and Dollygunj feeders, will be shut down for maintenance work. The following areas will be affected:

Affected Areas and Timings:

  • Dates: February 12 (Wednesday) and February 15 (Saturday)
  • Timing: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Areas Affected: Agency House, Garacharma (complete), 5 MW Solar Power Plant area, parts of Garacharma, Dollygunj, Attam Pahad, Old Pahargaon, ICMR Colony, and parts of Minnie Bay.

The department has informed that the scheduled time is tentative, and power supply will be restored earlier if the work is completed ahead of schedule.
