Pradesh Youth Congress Honours Women on International Women’s Day

The Pradesh Youth Congress marked International Women’s Day as Mahila Samman Diwas with a special award ceremony in Bambooflat, recognizing the achievements of outstanding women across various fields.

The event, organized under the leadership of Pradesh Youth Congress State President Ms. Diksha Dular, received strong support from Youth Congress State General Secretary Mr. H. Yousuf and Youth Congress Block President Mr. Ravi. Their aim was to highlight and honour the invaluable contributions of women to society.

As part of the celebrations, the Youth Congress conducted engaging activities such as musical chair, rangoli, and mehendi competitions. The highlight of the event was the felicitation of women who have made remarkable contributions in politics and local governance. They were honoured with mementos and certificates in recognition of their efforts.

State President of the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC), Mr. Rangalal Halder, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Several other distinguished guests, including Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha Ms. M. Rajini, Pramukh Ferrargunj Ms. Padmavathi, Pradhan Ms. Naseema, and Samiti Member Mr. Raja, attended the event as Special Guests.

In her address, Ms. Diksha Dular emphasized the crucial role of women in society, stating, “Women are the backbone of our society, and it is our duty to acknowledge and appreciate their contributions. The Youth Congress remains committed to working towards women’s and youth empowerment.”

The event was a testament to the Youth Congress’s dedication to fostering inclusivity and recognizing the efforts of women in shaping the community.
