Preparations are underway for the 10th edition of the Andaman Marathon – 2026, which will be held at Sri Vijaya Puram on February 8, 2026. A meeting to review the arrangements was held in the Conference Hall of the Secretariat under the chairmanship of the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Sports), A&N Administration, Ms. Chanchal Yadav, IAS.
The event is being organized by the Andaman Nicobar Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ANCCI) with the support of the A&N Administration.
Chairing the meeting, Ms. Yadav expressed happiness over the revival of the Andaman Marathon after a gap of five years and emphasized the need to organize the event on a grand scale with greater public participation to place the Islands prominently on the global tourism map. She assured that the Administration will extend all necessary logistic support to ensure the successful conduct of the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the President of ANCCI, Dr. K. Chandrasekaran, said that the Chamber is committed to making the 10th edition an iconic event. He informed that the marathon will feature multiple categories for men, women, senior citizens, and children, aimed at encouraging widespread participation from across the Islands.
