PS Aberdeen Team Cracks Blind Burglary and Theft Case, Recovers Stolen Items

A team Police Station Aberdeen cracked a blind burglary case and a theft case of Scooty, and arrested a burglar. 

In the burglary case, the complainant alleged that on 23.01.2023 at around 08.20 am, they found papers, files, etc. scattered on the floor of Central Library, ANIIMS, and the rear glass window was broken. On checking, it was found that a Panasonic Television (32”), Water Dispenser Stand (Plastic), and Electrical Kettle (Steel Body) were stolen from the Central Library, ANIIMS.

Based on the above complaint, an FIR was registered, and an investigation was entrusted to HC S.S Randhawa of Police Station Aberdeen. Soon after the registration of FIR, a team consisting of HC S.S Randhawa (IO), HC Sunil Singh Yadav, Asish Singh, and Shiv Kumar was constituted under the supervision of Insp. Girish Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen, for the search of accused and stolen properties. The team swung into action and, working professionally, nabbed the accused person, aged 30 years, a resident of Badmash Pahad. The stolen Articles were recovered from his possession.  

Further, the accused was interrogated in another theft case of PS Aberdeen by the Investigating Officer, SI Jeetender Lal. During interrogation, the accused confessed to having stolen a Scooty from Scout Hut Junction near Rani Laxmi Hostel (Tagore Girls Hostel) on 22-01-2023. Thereby the case has been worked out. 

The entire investigation took place under the supervision of Mr. Sunny Gupta, IPS, Sub Divisional Police Officer, South Andaman, and the overall supervision of Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.  

The general public has been requested to share information about any crime or other illegal activities with Police at 112, 03192-232100, 03192-233077 & 03192-232400. Police informed that the identity of the informant will be kept secret.
