PS Anti-Narcotics and PS Cyber Crime Collaborate with PANKH NGO for Police Raising Week Activities

As part of the Police Raising Week celebrations, the Anti-Narcotics Police Station and Cyber Crime Police Station, in collaboration with PANKH NGO, recently organized a series of awareness activities aimed at educating students about the dangers of drug abuse and cyber threats. The initiative was spearheaded by Ms. Palak Goel, DANIPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Narcotics/Cyber).

The event commenced with a high-energy marathon that brought together students from various schools across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The activity aimed to promote physical fitness and spread the message of a drug-free lifestyle. Approximately 50 to 60 students enthusiastically participated, fostering a sense of community while advocating for healthy living.

Following the marathon, a volleyball match exclusively for girls was organized. The event provided a platform for young girls to demonstrate their athletic abilities while highlighting the importance of physical fitness and self-confidence. The volleyball match was not just a display of sportsmanship but also underscored the role of physical activities in personal growth and development.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Komal Anand, Founder President of PANKH NGO, who reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to promoting awareness and fostering a positive environment for the youth of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The event’s seamless execution was supported by Yoga expert Smt. Rajni Ahuja.

As part of the broader initiative, Mr. Jitendra Kumar Meena, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police (CID), A&N Islands, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the community’s participation and support. He highlighted the urgent need to tackle drug abuse and cybercrime through collective action and public awareness. Mr. Meena called upon citizens, community leaders, and organizations to unite in the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking, urging everyone to pledge their active contribution toward this cause.
