In a significant stride towards enhancing safety and security in the remote areas of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, PS Car Nicobar and PS Nancowrie have been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 certification. This milestone, achieved under the leadership of Mr. Sunny Gupta IPS, SP Nicobar, and Mr. Vijay Singh, SDPO Car Nicobar, is a testament to the unwavering dedication of Inspector D. Jagdishwar Rao, SHO PS Car Nicobar, and SI Calvin, SHO Nancowrie. Their commitment has set a new standard for excellence in policing in these isolated regions.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification is recognized globally and acknowledges organizations that uphold exemplary quality management systems and strive for continual improvement. This recognition reflects the dedication of the staff at PS Car Nicobar and PS Nancowrie to enhance their operations, improve public satisfaction, and implement robust processes that ensure the delivery of prompt, citizen-centric, and reliable services.
Located 274 km and 415 km south of the capital city Port Blair, PS Car Nicobar and PS Nancowrie provide essential police assistance, emergency response, and law enforcement support to residents in the remote areas of Nicobar district. By bringing quality police services closer to those in need, these stations are creating a safer and more secure environment for all community members. The ISO certification signifies a major step forward in the ongoing commitment to serve and protect the public in the most professional manner.
Notably, this achievement follows the ISO certification of Campbell Bay Police Station, the southernmost police station in India, and Teressa Police Station in Nicobar District, both of which were certified over a month ago.
Andaman and Nicobar Islands Police remains steadfast in upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and service to ensure the safety and security of the communities they serve.
