In a determined effort to uphold its zero-tolerance policy against drugs, a specialised team, spearheaded by SI Parvash along with Head Constable Sanjit Madhu and Constable K. Rajendran from PS Central Crime Station, undertook a targeted raid in Kadamtala based on actionable intelligence received. This operation aimed to curb the influx of illegal substances in the area.
On the 30th of November, 2023, the police team made a significant breakthrough by apprehending two individuals identified as Sunil Gomasta and his son Tushar Suvra Gomasta, both employed in the private sector and residents of Kadamtala. The duo was found in possession of a substantial 834 grams of Ganja, suspected to have been transported from Kolkata through postal services.
Subsequently, a case has been registered against Sunil and Tushar under the NDPS Act at PS Central Crime Station, where a thorough investigation into the matter is currently underway.
This operation was conducted under the command of Dy.SP (CID), with overall supervision provided by Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, IPS, SP (CID), ensuring a coordinated and effective execution of the raid.
