PS Central Crime Station Recovers Huge Quantity of IMFL, Arrests Five Persons

PS Central Crime Station carried out special excise raids on March 10th and 11th, 2024, targeting the illegal sale of liquor. During the operation, a police team comprising Head Constables Sanjit Madhu and Sanjay Kujur, along with Constables Rajendran, Y. Srinivas Rao, and Amit Kumar Singh, seized a significant quantity of illegally possessed Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and apprehended five individuals involved in the illicit trade.

The seized items, totalling 94 bottles of IMFL, were confiscated from the possession of five suspects: P. Anbalagan of Jarodakalan, Sippighat; S. Rajendran of Haddo; Mohd. Safique of Shadipur Nepali Basti; Zakir Hussain of Phoenix Bay; and C. Sekar of Shore Point, Bambooflat. All suspects were promptly arrested in connection with the illegal possession and sale of liquor.

Cases have been registered against the apprehended individuals under Section 32 of the Regulation III of 1876 at PS CCS, with investigations currently underway to uncover further details surrounding the illicit operation.
