PS Central Crime Station Seizes Large Quantity of Illegal IMFL, One Arrested

On March 29, 2024, a targeted excise raid conducted by the Police Station Central Crime Station (PS CCS) at Jodakilan, Garacharma, resulted in the apprehension of one individual and the confiscation of a significant quantity of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL). The operation aimed to stem the illicit sale of alcohol in the area.

Led by Sub-Inspector Vinit Kumar Maurya, the police team, comprising Head Constables Sanjit Madhu and S. Baroi, along with Constables K. Rajendran and S. K. Mazumdar, executed the raid, which culminated in the seizure of 51 bottles of IMFL from the possession of M. Murugaiah, son of Late S. Mariyappan and resident of Jodakilan, Garacharma.

Murugaiah was promptly arrested at the scene, and a case under section 32 Reg. III of 1876 has been registered at PS CCS. Investigations into the matter are currently underway.
