PS Crime & Economic Offence Seizes 2.7 Kgs of Ganja in Raid, One Arrested

In a decisive move against illegal activities, the Police Station Crime and Economic Offence made a significant seizure of 2.700 kilograms of ganja on April 28, 2024. Acting on precise intelligence received from a reliable source, a team of officers led by Inspector Girish Kumar, SHO of PS Crime & Economic Offences, conducted a raid in the rented residence of Abijit Mahapatra, located in Shiv Colony, Dollygunj.

The operation, supervised by Mr. Lakshay Pandey, DANIPS, Dy.SP (CID), involved Head Constable Sanjit Madhu, Sanjay Kujur, along with Constables K. Rajendran and Lilly Grace Lakra. Upon entering the premises, the team discovered the contraband meticulously concealed in the living room of Abijit Mahapatra’s rented accommodation.

Abijit Mahapatra, aged 31 and employed in the private sector, was promptly arrested in accordance with legal procedures. The raid unfolded under the overarching supervision of Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, IPS, SP(CID). Subsequently, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act-1985 at PS CCS, with investigations currently underway.
