The Team of PS Diglipur once again cracked a blind theft case within 6 hours of registration of the FIR and arrested two accused both residents of Krishnapuri village, Near Nikhil Medical, Diglipur.
On 20th December 2022, a theft case was reported at PS Diglipur where three batteries were stolen from three different trucks parked at different locations in Diglipur. A case was registered and a team was constituted by Inspr. Vikash Singh, SHO PS Diglipur, consisting of Inspr. Kabita Kirtonia, PC Devsai, PC Abubacker Siddique, PC Santosh Lal and PC Sameresh Mistry.
The team immediately activated the informers and checked all available local CCTV footage and cross-checked with the local garbage collectors regarding suspicious movements at night. Also, various scrap dealers were examined and based on quick human intelligence gathering, two accused were apprehended. After sustained interrogation, the stolen batteries were recovered which were stolen on the intervening night of 19th & 20th December 2022.
The accused sold the stolen batteries to a nearby scrap yard and the owner who purchased the stolen property was also apprehended.
The whole investigation took place under the command of Mr. Lakshya Pandey, SDPO Diglipur and the overall supervision of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, Superintendent of Police, N & M Andaman District.
Meanwhile, the general public has been requested to pass and share any credible information regarding any crime or illegal activities to their nearest Police Station or over phone No.100, 112 & 03192-273344. Police informed that the identity of the informers will be kept secret and informers will also be suitably rewarded.
