PS Pahargaon Swiftly Apprehends Suspects Involved in Robbery and Assault on Couple in Dollygunj

In a remarkable display of efficiency and commitment, PS Pahargaon police swiftly apprehended three suspects involved in a robbery and assault incident in the Dollygunj area within just eight hours.

On July 26, 2024, at approximately 10:30 Pm, a couple walking along the main road in Dollygunj was suddenly confronted by a speeding car. The vehicle stopped abruptly, leading to an altercation. The driver and two other individuals emerged from the car, used foul language, and physically assaulted the couple. During the confrontation, the perpetrators snatched the couple’s gold ornaments and molested the woman before fleeing the scene.

Responding promptly to the complaint, PS Pahargaon registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS 2023 against the three unidentified assailants. A dedicated team led by SI P Jeevan, including HCs Sunil Singh Yadav, Ibrahim Ali, Vinod, PCs Shiv Kumar, Santosh Lall, and Ct Peter, was formed under the supervision of Insp. Rahul, SHO PS Pahargaon.

Through meticulous investigation and strategic resource deployment, the team quickly identified and apprehended the suspects: Dinesh (25) of Dollygunj Happy Colony, Rupesh Kumar Thapa (28) of Dollygunj Happy Colony, and S. Siva Raj (24) of Guptapara. The accused were arrested and presented before the Hon’ble Court, which subsequently remanded them to judicial custody.
