A Public Grievance Redressal Programme-cum-Revenue Camp Court under the initiative “Sampark se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon ki Ore” was organised on January 9, 2026, at the Pokhadera Community Hall, Mayabunder, by the District Administration, North & Middle Andaman. The programme was conducted under the chairmanship of Mr. Sushant Padha, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman, in coordination with various line departments.

The combined programme was aimed at strengthening service delivery mechanisms, ensuring time-bound redressal of public grievances and facilitating on-the-spot disposal of revenue-related cases through direct interaction with residents at the grassroots level.

During the camp, a total of 34 revenue cases were disposed of, including 12 Sub-Division cases, 17 cases related to name correction and five mutation cases. The programme witnessed the participation of around 110 people, comprising PRI representatives, Heads of Offices and members of the general public.

Several public grievances were raised during the interaction, including the non-availability of a blood bank at District Hospital Mayabunder, the dilapidated condition of the hospital’s mortuary room, rising prices of vegetables and fish, and the demand for construction of a cold food storage facility at Billiground. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to examine the issues raised on priority and take necessary action.

The “Sampark se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon ki Ore” initiative continues to reinforce participatory governance and aims to ensure effective, responsive and citizen-centric delivery of public services across the North & Middle Andaman District.
