The PCCF (CRZ & FC), Department of Environment and Forests has applied for conducting Public Hearing under EIA Notification, 2006 for preparation of Island Coastal Regulation Zone Plan for Kamorta Island.
A news item in this regard was published in the ‘Daily Telegram’ on 10-08-2021 for inviting suggestion from public and other stakeholders within a period of 30 days of the publication and also soft copies of the Maps have been made available at the Office of the Chairman, ANCZMA (Chief Secretary, A&N Administration), Member Secretary, ANCZMA [PCCF(CRZ&FC)], Van Sadan, Haddo, Deputy Commissioner (South Andaman/Nicobar), Assistant Commissioner (South Andaman/Kamorta), Tehsildar(Ferrargunj/Katchal/Kamorta), Member Secretary (Pollution Control Committee), Director(Tribal Welfare), Divisional Forest Officer (South Andaman/Nicobar Division) and Range Officer (Manglutan/Kamorta).
In this regard, Public Hearing for preparation of Draft Island Coastal Regulation Zone (ICRZ) Plan for Kamorta Island is scheduled to be held on 30th August 2022 at 3.30 PM at the Office Hall of Assistant Commissioner, Nancowry.
