Raid by PS CCS in Calicut Leads to Seizure of 564 Grams of Ganja, One Arrested

Acting on specific intelligence received from a reliable source, a police team conducted a successful raid in Calicut, resulting in the arrest of one individual and the seizure of a significant quantity of Ganja.

The raid, executed on the evening of January 18th, was carried out by a team led by Inspector Vishal Ram, SHO PS CCS, along with Sub-Inspector P. Moideen Kutty, Sub-Inspector Parvash, Head Constable K. Venkateshwar Rao, Shibani Biswas, Constable K. Rajendran, and Constable Lily Grace, all from PS CCS. The operation was conducted under the command of Deputy Superintendent of Police (CID) Mr. Vinay Mathur, with overall supervision by Superintendent of Police (CID) Mr. Mohd. Irshad Haider, IPS.

During the raid, the police team seized 564 grams of Ganja from the possession of Mr. Raju Mondal, aged 29 years.  Raju, a private worker residing in Calicut, was apprehended on the spot following due procedure.

A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, at PS CCS, and investigations are currently underway.
