Rally Organised by Andaman Law College as Part of National Law Day Celebrations

Andaman Law College (ALC), in collaboration with the State Legal Services Authority (SLSA), Andaman and Nicobar Islands, organised a rally today (26th of November 2025), to commemorate National Law Day. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers, staff, students of ALC, and paralegal volunteers associated with SLSA.

Registrar of the Calcutta High Court, Circuit Bench, Port Blair, Mr. Rashid Alam, flagged off the rally from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium in the presence of ALC Principal, Dr. P.V.N. Sarma. Around 200 students, accompanied by faculty members and volunteers, participated in the rally raising awareness on the Constitution with slogans such as “Mera Samvidhan, Mera Swabhiman.”

The procession, led by Director of Physical Education Dr. Rajiv Mondal, Accounts Officer Jawahar Mondal, and faculty members Ms. Akshya, Ms. Alquma, Ms. Aughya, Dr. Bala Ramalingam, Dr. Logandham, Ms. Nisha, Ms. Varsha, Mr. Rohit, Mr. Sashi Bhushan, and Mr. Asif, moved through the Clock Tower and Gandhi Statue areas before culminating at the college campus.

Upon arrival, students collectively read the Preamble of the Constitution, followed by the Principal administering the preamble pledge. To mark the occasion, various competitions including elocution, essay writing, poster making and slogan writing were held, drawing enthusiastic participation from students.

The event aimed to promote constitutional values and raise awareness about legal rights and duties among the youth.
