Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Mr. Rangalal Halder has extended his congratulations to Mr. O. Bashir on his appointment as Chairperson of the Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan (RGPRS) for the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
In his statement, Halder said he is confident that Bashir’s extensive grassroots experience and commitment to the Congress Party’s principles will strengthen the Panchayati Raj framework in the Islands.
The Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan is a Congress-affiliated organisation focused on promoting and strengthening Panchayati Raj institutions and local self-government. The body works to increase political participation at the grassroots and coordinate outreach and activities related to decentralisation and village-level governance.
