Mr. Rangalal Hader, President, Andaman and Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee, has written to the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration, requesting him to resolve the problems of load shedding in the South Andaman District.
In his letter, Mr. Halder mentioned that the Islanders are disappointed due to the frequent load shedding in South Andaman.
Mr. Halder added that due to load shedding at odd times, in the afternoon or in the evening for long hours, it becomes impossible for people to go on with their daily routine.
He also mentioned that the students preparing for the Board Exams and other exams find studying very difficult.
He also mentioned that those involved in anti-social activities are becoming more active as they can carry out their illegal activities in the guise of darkness due to power cuts during the evening hours.
He requested the administration to resolve the load-shedding issue in South Andaman District within a week.
