The Block Development Office, CD Block Rangat, conducted a block-level training programme on the theme “Fostering Synergies between Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and Rural Youth for Sustainable Community Development” at the Panchayat Samiti Hall, Rangat.
Mr. Sujit Mistry, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Nimbutala, briefed participants on the structure, powers, and responsibilities of PRIs, underscoring the need for active Gram Sabha participation to strengthen grassroots governance.
Addressing the participants, Block Development Officer Mr. Pradeep Kumar Singh highlighted the importance of collaboration between elected representatives and young people, stating that such partnerships were essential for building inclusive and sustainable communities.
Mr. Mohammed Irfan, Block Programme Manager (RGSA), spoke on the concept of model villages and called for effective coordination between PRIs and rural youth to drive community-led growth.
A technical session was also conducted by Ms. Deepa Biswas, Domain Expert (Livelihood), RGSA.
